I saw the documentary Amandla! A revolution in Four-Part Harmony last night.   it was really good.  I have to say i love music and i think it’s powerful way to communicate with people no matter what language we speak.

In regards to the film:
I never knew what a large role music had in the movement against Apartheid.  I agree that music can be a weapon and thousands of people in song can be stronger than the machine guns and tear gas in the long run.  These may conquer for awhile,  but cannot suppress a movement founded on human rights and justice for all– a movement powered by the human spirit and hope for a better future.
